Unix Systems Administrator

Provided hardware, FreeBSD and Linux software support for server systems, backup systems and user support for over twenty live server systems.   This was a medium scale web/email hosting environment as well as dedicated server support.  Brought up 5 new servers, preformed upgrades patches and audits as necessary. Responsible for network maintenance, troubleshooting and responsible for coordination and implementation of facility move.  Phone system support (digital and analog Hircom/Cisco equipment.)  Coordinated office move and infrastructure design/implementation at new location.

Desk-side Support/IMAC Coordinator

Responsible for all Macintosh systems for large medical company.  Organized company wide Macintosh rollout/migration from OS9 to OSX.  Assisted with Windows 2000 desktop support.  Administered servers with nightly automated client machine tape based backups to server as well as general maintenance.  Also IMAC Coordinator, responsible for coordination all trouble and request tickets for all hardware and software needs in company as well as remote offices.   Maternity relief contract.

Great company.  However, I couldn't refuse a killer job offer with Apple Computer.
